Welcome to Laney College football, home of the Eagles, where you will be coached by an experienced and well respected coaching staff that has helped guide and nurture a 90% graduation-transfer rate. Head Coach John Beam has over 37 years of championship coaching experience. 4 of our coaches have worked for or played in the National Football League. Aside from John Beam, 3 of the coaches on the staff have been head coaches, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the game. This experience has allowed Laney Eagle players to reach their dreams of playing Division 1 football, as well as moving on to the National Football League.
When you come to Laney College you will be playing in a state-of-the-art Division 1 caliber facility. Our weight room is second to none, being used by several FBS and NFL players to train in the off-season. We have a full-time Athletic Trainer for both the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries, and Strength and Conditioning coaches that have worked at the Division 1 level. Our team doctor not only works with the Laney Eagles, but also with the Golden State Warriors.
At Laney College we emphasize growth and development on the field and in the classroom. We want each player to reach their full potential and to grow as a positive contributor to society. Laney has a tremendous alumni network that gives back to the program, reaching out and mentoring players on and off the field. At Laney you will be supported by 7 members of the coaching staff that are always on campus to help you navigate the college experience. We look forward to having you continue the Eagle tradition of Greatness.
